Speaking in Cairo, Egypt, on June 4, 2009, President Obama told a cheering audience that “Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance,” then went on to assure them that Muslims in the United States enjoy full religious liberty. Of course, the problem has never been the inability of Muslims to worship in America. The problem is the inability of Christians, Jews and persons of other faiths to worship freely in majority Muslim nations.

A cursory examination of recent news stories shows that in fact Islamic intolerance and violence toward other faiths is increasing, and the Obama Administration seems singularly uninterested.

• In Malaysia this week, three churches and a Catholic school were firebombed by Muslims upset because Malaysian Christians had used the word “Allah” for God. The protesting Muslims contended that only Muslims could use the word “Allah.”
• In Egypt, Coptic Christians celebrate Christmas on January 7th. This year’s celebration was marked by an attack on the Mar Yohana Church in which eight Christians, most of them in their 20s, were gunned down as they left services. A few months earlier, a Muslim mob burned and looted businesses owned by Christians in Farshoot, Egypt.
• Christian churches have also been attacked by followers in of the “Religion of Peace” in Algeria and Indonesia in recent weeks. And in Pakistan, 65 Christian women and children were attacked by a Muslim mob.

There are dozens of American organizations that claim to speak for Islam and regularly assure us that they renounce violence. Yet I have been unable to find any statements by these groups condemning the violence by Muslims against religious minorities around the world. Perhaps President Obama could raise the issue at next year’s White House Ramadan dinner.

You and I have just witnessed one of the most corrupt legislative
sessions in American history.  Now we have learned that one of
the key “experts” pushing ObamaCare was also bought and paid for!

The New York Times has exposed Jonathan Gruber, a professor
of economics at M.I.T., as having published an article on their
Op-Ed page supporting ObamaCare without disclosing that he had
an ongoing consulting relationship with HHS.

The Times noted that Professor Gruber had signed a contract
obligating him to reveal such relationships.  It would have
been impossible for him to “forget” his consultancy – he had
nearly $400,000 worth of lucrative contracts with HHS at the time!

++But wait – it gets much, much worse…

Popular blog site Firedoglake revealed last Friday that the
Obama Administration has paid Gruber more than $780,000 in TAX
DOLLARS to make the public case for health care reform!

Jonathan Gruber’s work has been extensively cited by the White
House, Members of Congress, and the media continuously since
ObamaCare came onto the scene, but NOT ONCE did anyone in
the administration disclose he was on their payroll!

Here’s Gruber’s lame explanation: “All my editorials or
public reports have been done on my own time.”  I guess
he expects us to believe that his views weren’t influenced
by the nearly one million dollars he’s gotten so far!

++More “Chicago on the Potomac”

The Jonathan Gruber revelation is just the latest public exposure
of the graft and dishonesty which has characterized the way the
Obama/Pelosi/Reid power axis has advanced ObamaCare.  Given
what we know, can you imagine what else is under the table?!

Just before Christmas, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid
ystematically bought off every Democrat member of the Senate who
could possibly derail his crucial cloture vote.  When all the
“bribes” were handed out, Reid had the required 60 votes to
choke off debate in the middle of the night.

The congressional leadership and the Obama White House arm
twisters have literally drug our nation down to the level of
a cheap banana republic!  They know their popular support is
plummeting.  They have become desperate and will stop at nothing.

Honest Americans have been nauseated as we have learned:

** Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) received $300 million in extra
federal spending for her state in what critics derisively
called “The Louisiana Purchase.”

** Senator Ben Nelson (D-NE) accepted a deal exempting his state
from new Medicaid costs and several other long-term perks.
Nelson’s purchase has been dubbed the “Cornhusker Kick Back.”

** Many other bribes and “special provisions” affected the states
of Vermont, North and South Dakota, Wyoming, Massachusetts,
Hawaii, Michigan, Florida, and Connecticut.

But perhaps most painful of all, we have watched a smug Harry
Reid justifying his corrupt acts by suggesting it is every
senator’s DUTY to get pay-offs for their votes!

“If they don’t have something in it important to them, then it
doesn’t speak well of them,” Reid said in a post-cloture interview.
So much for the integrity of the United States Senate!

++On top of all the corruption, ObamaCare is unconstitutional

If you wondered why Harry Reid rushed his 2,074-page bill and its
383-page “Manager’s Amendment” through in the middle of the night
with just hours to read them, then here’s at least one answer…

Right there on page 1,020, the tyrannical Senate majority
insists that no future Congress can repeal or otherwise
amend the section on “Independent Medical Advisory
Boards.”

You will probably remember that socialists mocked Governor Sarah
Palin for calling such independent boards “death panels.” Yet
Governor Palin was correct in her assessment – what else would
you call boards with the power to grant or deny life-saving care
using some pseudo-scientific “cost-benefit” formula?

Carefully hidden away in Reid’s version of ObamaCare is a section
that gives these boards far more power and permanence than the
Constitution allows to ANY government entity!

++ If this bill becomes law, Liberty Counsel will challenge its
constitutionality in court!

Every version of ObamaCare we’ve seen so far is unconstitutional
because:

1)  Congress has NO authority to force every American to
carry insurance coverage, and,
2)  Congress has NO authority to fine employers whose
policies do not have the mandated coverage.

Friends, if this monstrous healthcare bill passes, it must
be strongly challenged in the federal judiciary from the moment
of its birth.  Liberty Counsel will do exactly that!

++But for now, especially since there is an increasing outcry
against ObamaCare’s corruption, we MUST continue to make Congress
hear our voice!

We are going all out to BURY Congress in protest over
this endless procession of dirty tricks.  And it looks like
ObamaCare is more vulnerable than ever due to the recent
sordid revelations of bribery and scandal.

Americans nationwide are expressing OUTRAGE at this overt
manipulation and total lack of integrity.  Reid, Pelosi and
Obama have proven they will do anything to get this government
takeover of our medical industry.

Now more than ever, the socialists and abortion advocates need

A few years after I was born, my Dad met a stranger who was new to our small town. From the beginning, Dad was fascinated with this enchanting newcomer and soon invited him to live with our family. The  stranger was quickly accepted and was around from then on.

As I grew up, I never questioned his place in my family. In my young mind, he had a special niche. My parents were complementary instructors: Mom taught me good from evil, and Dad taught me to obey. But the stranger…he was our storyteller. He would keep us spellbound for hours on end with adventures, mysteries and comedies. If I wanted to know anything about politics, history or science, he always knew the answers about the past, understood the present and even seemed able to predict the future!

He took my family to the first major league ball game. He made me laugh, and he made me cry. The stranger never stopped talking, but Dad didn’t seem to mind. Sometimes, Mom would get up quietly while the rest of us were shushing each other to listen to what he had to say, and she would go to the kitchen for peace and quiet. (I wonder now if she ever prayed for the stranger to leave.)

Dad ruled our household with certain moral convictions, but the stranger never felt obligated to honor them. Profanity, for example, was not allowed in our home… Not from us, our friends or any visitors. Our longtime visitor, however, got away with four-letter words that burned my ears and made my dad squirm and my mother blush.

My Dad didn’t permit the liberal use of alcohol. But the stranger encouraged us to try it on a regular basis. He made cigarettes look cool, cigars manly and pipes distinguished. He talked freely (much too freely!) about sex. His comments were sometimes blatant, sometimes suggestive, and generally embarrassing. I now know that my early concepts about relationships were influenced strongly by the stranger.

Time after time, he opposed the values of my parents, yet he was seldom rebuked… And NEVER asked to leave. More than fifty years have passed since the stranger moved in with our family. He has blended right in and is not nearly as fascinating as he was at first.

Still, if you could walk into my parents’ den today, you would still find him sitting over in his corner, waiting for someone to listen to him talk and watch him draw his pictures. His name?

We just call him “TV”.

He has a wife now…. We call her “Computer”.

I am not surprised that socialist leaders Reid, Pelosi and Obama
are once again meeting behind closed doors. It is now obvious
they have no intention of appointing a Conference Committee to
openly reconcile the House and Senate versions of ObamaCare.

That would give the American people, the majority of
whom now reject Obama’s vision of healthcare reform,
too much of an opportunity to demand accountability!

While campaigning for President, Obama promised that “we’ll
have negotiations televised on C-SPAN, so that people can
see who is making arguments on behalf of their constituents.”

Yet Brian Lamb, CEO of C-SPAN, is now bitterly complaining that
his service has been denied ANY access to the crucial meetings
taking place to determine ObamaCare’s final form.

Americans are losing confidence in the legislative process

At every step of the way in ObamaCare’s long march through Congress,
the liberal Democrat leaders have used trickery and overt
manipulation to thwart the American people’s legitimate concerns
about the socialist takeover of our medical system.

Now, on the brink of a bill being presented to President Obama
for signature, we still have NO resolution on:

• Abortion coverage Americans don’t want
• Exorbitant costs Americans don’t want
• Mandatory participation Americans don’t want
• New federal bureaucracies Americans don’t want
• Inequities between states Americans don’t want

Our Constitution is being subverted right before our eyes

The “checks and balances” our Founders gave us are
being overpowered and dismantled by the Obama/Pelosi/Reid
power axis.  Never before has the clear will of the people
been so completely ignored and marginalized.

ObamaCare is unconstitutional!  If Congress has the
power to FORCE each person to have health insurance,
then individual liberty is totally meaningless.

That’s why if a final bill passes that mandates individual
coverage or requires private employers to provide coverage,
Liberty Counsel WILL file suit in federal court challenging
the bill’s constitutionality!

And that’s also why I need tens of thousands of Americans to sign

battle in the courtroom and the court of public opinion in order
to stop this overt socialist power grab!

ObamaCare is being kept out of the light because it is unlawful

There are MANY reasons why Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi will allow
no one but their closest insiders – and the White House arm twisters,
of course – to see the final bill until they can force a final vote.
For one thing, its “Tooth Fairy” accounting can’t stand up to even
mild scrutiny.

But the biggest reason is that Congress has NO AUTHORITY to force
its socialist healthcare agenda on citizens and businesses in the
first place!

Every version of ObamaCare we’ve seen so far is unconstitutional
because:

Now that another Earth Day has come and gone, let’s look at some environmentalist predictions that they would prefer we forget.

At the first Earth Day celebration, in 1969, environmentalist Nigel Calder warned, “The threat of a new ice age must now stand alongside nuclear war as a likely source of wholesale death and misery for mankind.” C.C. Wallen of the World Meteorological Organization said, “The cooling since 1940 has been large enough and consistent enough that it will not soon be reversed.” In 1968, Professor Paul Ehrlich, Vice President Gore’s hero and mentor, predicted there would be a major food shortage in the U.S. and “in the 1970s … hundreds of millions of people are going to starve to death.” Ehrlich forecasted that 65 million Americans would die of starvation between 1980 and 1989, and by 1999 the U.S. population would have declined to 22.6 million. Ehrlich’s predictions about England were gloomier: “If I were a gambler, I would take even money that England will not exist in the year 2000.”

In 1972, a report was written for the Club of Rome warning the world would run out of gold by 1981, mercury and silver by 1985, tin by 1987 and petroleum, copper, lead and natural gas by 1992. Gordon Taylor, in his 1970 book “The Doomsday Book,” said Americans were using 50 percent of the world’s resources and “by 2000 they [Americans] will, if permitted, be using all of them.” In 1975, the Environmental Fund took out full-page ads warning, “The World as we know it will likely be ruined by the year 2000.”

Harvard University biologist George Wald in 1970 warned, “… civilization will end within 15 or 30 years unless immediate action is taken against problems facing mankind.” That was the same year that Sen. Gaylord Nelson warned, in Look Magazine, that by 1995 “… somewhere between 75 and 85 percent of all the species of living animals will be extinct.”

It’s not just latter-day doomsayers who have been wrong; doomsayers have always been wrong. In 1885, the U.S. Geological Survey announced there was “little or no chance” of oil being discovered in California, and a few years later they said the same about Kansas and Texas. In 1939, the U.S. Department of the Interior said American oil supplies would last only another 13 years. In 1949, the Secretary of the Interior said the end of U.S. oil supplies was in sight. Having learned nothing from its earlier erroneous claims, in 1974 the U.S. Geological Survey advised us that the U.S. had only a 10-year supply of natural gas. The fact of the matter, according to the American Gas Association, there’s a 1,000 to 2,500 year supply.

Here are my questions: In 1970, when environmentalists were making predictions of manmade global cooling and the threat of an ice age and millions of Americans starving to death, what kind of government policy should we have undertaken to prevent such a calamity? When Ehrlich predicted that England would not exist in the year 2000, what steps should the British Parliament have taken in 1970 to prevent such a dire outcome? In 1939, when the U.S. Department of the Interior warned that we only had oil supplies for another 13 years, what actions should President Roosevelt have taken? Finally, what makes us think that environmental alarmism is any more correct now that they have switched their tune to manmade global warming?

Here are a few facts: Over 95 percent of the greenhouse effect is the result of water vapor in Earth’s atmosphere. Without the greenhouse effect, Earth’s average temperature would be zero degrees Fahrenheit. Most climate change is a result of the orbital eccentricities of Earth and variations in the sun’s output. On top of that, natural wetlands produce more greenhouse gas contributions annually than all human sources combined.

For those who’ve been around, I basically decided to move all the political posts off of my main site and on to its own website.  And this is it!  So far, this is only phase one.  Everything from my main site forwards to this domain now.  In the near future, my main site will relaunch with a new design (and a wicked logo!) as a site dedicated to web development, design, and online applications.

Speaking of web design and wicked logos, I designed this site!  Not completely, though; it’s based off of the White as Milk theme by Azeem Azeez, but any imagery you see was done by myself (including the logo!!).  This was really my first real logo and site design!

Don’t get me wrong, you’ve given me so much!  And I treasure all the hours that you allowed me to spend connecting with old friends, spreading the Truth, and simply just venting.  You even gave me the chance to open up and help solve huge problems for men all over the world.

The Senate Finance Committee will vote TUESDAY and will likely pass its version of ObamaCare complete with the abortion mandate, massive tax increases and the wholesale government takeover of healthcare.

Just one problem…

There is NO real bill in the Finance Committee!

The Finance Committee is working off what is called the “Chairman’s Mark,” which is really just “plain language” notes about the bill! Committee staffers admit that the actual legislative text for the bill hasn’t been written (or at least it hasn’t been released to the public!).

Even worse…

Majority Leader Harry Reid ultimately controls the process in the Senate and our best sources tell us he will push his own version of ObamaCare directly to the floor for a vote!  Once again, we have no idea what that bill actually says. There have been no drafts and it will not be subjected to Committee scrutiny!

It is very likely that the actual text of the Reid bill — the final bill the Senate votes on — will remain hidden until the very last minute. Why?  It’s clear that he doesn’t want the American people to know what is in this healthcare bill!

+ + Tell the Senate: “Show Us The Bill!”

This is political chicanery at its very worst.  Harry Reid knows the American public is not in favor of ObamaCare and its abortion mandate, so he is resorting to HIDING the bill’s content and his plans from citizens like you and me!

And as we learned from his “attach it to an unrelated bill and call the vote at midnight” strategy to pass Hate Crimes legislation, Reid will stop at nothing to please the White House and pass this dangerous, cost-prohibitive bill no matter what Americans think!

I’m asking you to take a stand with me and demand that the Senate SHOW US THE BILL before any further votes on ObamaCare are taken! There are two important ways to take action.

I’ve been told by several people that the Iranian’s don’t want us to “intervene”.  My simple answer: you’re stupid.  That’s right, I’m blatantly, publicly saying that.  You will forever be able to quote me on this.  The video below features an Iranian woman who, on the phone, describes vividly a massacre she witnessed and begs CNN (and the U.S.) to “stop this” and to “help the people of Iran”.

Albert Einstein once said, “The world is a dangerous place, not [only] because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.”  In my opinion, this includes those who look, notice, mention something, and move on.  The people of Iran don’t just need us to watch and spread the news.  They need us to help them.  Step in and help.  Give them more resources to take their country.

Just to be clear to all those who say, this does not involve the US. It does!  After the final verdict on the elections by the supreme ruler, he had to say … death to America, death to Israel.  So you see, if they are allowed to kill their own people, they will not stop at anything to try to attack and kill the US!  This is beyond belief!

See, there’s a lot of people saying to Iran, “the world is watching.”  Here’s the problem though: Iranians are watching us.  They’re waiting for us.  They’re watching us bicker and debate about why we shouldn’t “intrude” or “meddle” in, what some people are calling, their revolution.  My guess is that they probably don’t see much ‘hope’ coming from us, especially not coming from the ‘leader of hope’ (I’m talking about Obama, just in case your brain’s running on 56k today).  Stop bickering; stop debating.  People are dieing.  People are being brutally massacred.  And for those who think this whole thing is a hoax… you’re stupid.  Yep, I said it again.  Why would the Iranian government start censoring foreign media, the web, and blocking text services?  To serve their people?  Come on, you’re smarter than that.
